Faculty, Staff, and Sponsored Affiliates
- Visit the Princeton Service Portal homepage. In the Manage Passwords section, select My Princeton Account.
- Type your netID (not your full @princeton.edu email).
- If you do not know your netID, visit the Princeton Advanced People Search, enter your name and select search.
- Select the "I'm not a robot" CAPTCHA and select Next.
- Follow the reset password prompts.
Duo two-factor authentication for first-time users
Once you have successfully logged into a Princeton website or application for the first time, you will be prompted to activate/ enroll your Duo Account to complete your secure access setup. Read Duo Two-Factor Authentication for activation and enrollment instructions.
Faculty/ Staff Maintain Contact Information in HR Self Service
- Navigate to HR Self Service and log in.
- Select the Personal Information tile.
- Select the Contact Details icon.
- Enter your contact information for one or both.
- personal mobile phone number.
- home email address.

Missing Contact Information
To verify your identity, Princeton's password reset process uses the personal mobile phone and/ or home email address on record. If neither a personal mobile or home email address is on file, you will not be able to use self-service password reset. Contact Information Technology for assistance.
