Archiving and Transferring Zoom Cloud Recordings

Review your recordings regularly

As Zoom is not approved for long-term storage at Princeton, we encourage meeting owners to regularly assess their recordings and transfer those that require long-term storage out of Zoom to ensure their longevity and security.  Any recordings that are no longer needed should be deleted.  This practice helps manage storage space and ensures important recordings are not lost.

Your Zoom recordings can be found here: https://princeton.zoom.us/recording

Downloading Recordings

Zoom allows you to easily download your recordings. Once this has been done, you can transfer your recordings to a storage solution that meets your needs.

  1. Log in to your Zoom account using Single Sign On (SSO) and navigate to the Recordings tab or: https://princeton.zoom.us/recording
  2. Select the recording you wish to download.
  3. Click on the More (...) button and choose Download.
  4. Save the file to an appropriate location on your local hard drive or another acceptable location/repository.

Choosing a Storage Solution

There are various storage solutions available for which your downloaded recordings can be transferred.
