You can use folder protection to back up your important folders on your PC (your Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders) with OneDrive, so they're protected and available on other devices

Note:  Syncing the "Desktop" folder should be used with caution since it may sync shortcuts to programs that are not available on all of your devices.
