Unable to Start a Zoom Meeting from Canvas

 

With the latest Firefox update (version 106+), there have been issues starting a Zoom meeting from Canvas.

The latest update of Firefox has a setting that is defaulted on.  This setting prevents the starting of a Zoom meeting from the Canvas browser.

Users may experience the following error message when attempting to start a meeting

within Canvas from the latest version of Firefox.

If the following error message is displayed, follow the steps below.

Users can update their settings to avoid this block being performed by default.

Click the Shield on the left of the URL bar



Under the Enhanced Tracking Protection, toggle the button off.




Once this has been completed, the page will refresh, and the user can now open the Zoom meeting from this page.
