In cases of stolen or lost device (laptop, tablet, mobile phone), both law enforcement and OIT should be contacted.  

On Campus

• Contact Public Safety at (609) 258-1000 and file a report
• Contact the OIT Service Desk at 609-258-4357 or servicedesk@princeton.edu to inform of the lost/stolen device

Off Campus (University-owned devices only)

1. Contact the appropriate law enforcement agency and request a police report that includes
   
   • Case Number
   • Law Enforcement Agent Assigned to the Case's Contact Information
     
     • Name
     • Agency
     • Telephone
2. Contact Public Safety at (609) 258-1000 and file a report
3. Contact OIT Service Desk with the above information, at (609) 258-HELP (4357) or servicedesk@princeton.edu
