How to access TigerHub, HR Self Service, and Tiger Family Hub from off-campus


Accessing TigerHub, HR Self Service, Tiger Family Hub, and related applications from off campus requires GlobalProtect VPN or the Secure Portal for students, faculty, and staff. Parents and guardians must always use the Secure Portal using the instructions below.

This portal does not support mobile devices and tablets.

1. Visit oit.princeton.edu/ps on a computer in private-browsing mode. (How to turn on private-browsing mode)

2. Enter your netID@princeton.edu and select Next.

3. Enter your password and select Sign In.

4. If the In Session Settings screen appears, select Connect.

5. On the next screen, select Sign In.

6. If the Allow Remote Desktop Connection? prompt appears, select Yes.

7. Wait while the application loads. The Loading your app... screen may appear briefly.

8. When the Princeton Central Authentication Service login page appears, enter your netID and password, and then select Login.

9. Access the service as you normally would.

No software installation is required. The secure portal works in your web browser.

How to Print

  1. Press Ctrl + P on a Windows PC or Command + P on a Mac.
  2. When the print prompt appears, select Local printer (redirect).

  3. Select Print.
  4. When the second prompt appears, select the printer installed on your computer (such as Epson, HP, PawPrint, or TigerPrint).
  5. Select Print.

How to Save a File

  1. Press Ctrl + S on a Windows PC or Command + S on a Mac.
  2. When the Save As window opens, select This PC in the left panel. 
  3. Select Remote virtual drive on RDWebClient.

  4. Select the Downloads folder. 
  5. Select Save
  6. A file will begin to download in the Secure Portal. You may see a message indicating the download was canceled. Ignore this message and proceed to the next step.
  7. When the prompt "Do you want to download files to local desktop?" appears, select Yes. Depending on file size, this may take 1 to 2 minutes. The file will be saved to your computer.
