If an offer of admission is accepted, a final official transcript from each institution where a degree was earned is required by August 20. Enrollment may be terminated if a student fails to provide an official transcript of degree, study, or other academic work that was presented as part of the admission application.
Transcript documentation uploaded as part of your application package cannot be used to fulfill this requirement.
If you will not be able to submit by the August 20th deadline for any reason, please inform Graduate Admission at gradapp@princeton.edu.
Transcripts and degree certificates are required and each must be verified by the China Credentials Verification agency (CSSD). All verification reports and any academic records should be issued in the English language.
Please note: Since we will receive your documents directly from CSSD, universities do not need to issue transcripts and degree certificates to Princeton.
If your institution is able to send a certified electronic transcript (either via email or from Parchment, eSCRIP-SAFE, Digitary, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.), it should be sent to:
PDF copies sent from students are not accepted.
International academic credentials can be reviewed, certified, and uploaded directly to your Princeton application record through Educational Perspectives. There is a fee for this service.
If your institution is mailing a paper transcript, please have it sent to the appropriate address, below. The transcript must be received in an envelope sealed by the issuing institution and contain authentication, such as a signature or raised seal.
If a college or university will only issue transcripts directly to the student, the transcripts should be sent in the original unopened institutional envelope.
