Transferring Your Wireless Number
Please note that purchasing a mobile device on the University Corporate Account enters you into a 2 year contract with the carrier. If you choose to cancel or move the line to another carrier before the 2 years is over your department is subject to early termination fees.
Personal Account ⇒ Corporate Account If an employee is authorized to carry a mobile device for University business, that device should be managed under one of the University’s wireless corporate accounts. Princeton has corporate accounts with both Verizon and AT&T. If an employee has a personal mobile phone number, and wishes to keep that number, it is possible to transfer the number to one of the University corporate accounts.
When transferring a number from a personal account to a corporate account please consider the following:

Corporate Account ⇒ Personal Account *Please note: You will have 30 days from the time your line is released from the corporate account to move your number to a personal plan. After the 30 days the line/phone number will be cancelled and you will no longer be able to keep the number. If an employee becomes ineligible for coverage under the University corporate accounts, he/she has the option to transfer the number back to a personal account. The release of a line must first be approved by a department head. Below are guidelines for the release of a line from a corporate to personal account:
