Eligibility for a TigerCard
- Students, faculty, staff, guests, and affiliates are eligible for a TigerCard. Guests and affiliates must be sponsored by a department
- The spouses, domestic partners and children (under 23 years of age) of students and University employees (excluding affiliate and casual hourly employees) are eligible for a family TigerCard.
- Surviving spouses of employees who died while actively employed are eligible for a family TigerCard.
Request a New Card
Students
New cards for students are issued through the onboarding/admissions process.
- New undergraduate students need to submit a photo for the card during the matriculation process (information on this procedure will be sent by your college). Your TigerCard will be ready when you arrive on move-in day as part of the housing packet you receive during check-in.
- New graduate students can pick up their TigerCard at graduate check-in.
If you do not receive a card at check-in, please stop by The Service Point, on the A Floor of New South.
Faculty, Staff, Affiliates and Guests
Important! The TigerCard Request Form requires you to submit a passport-style photo with a white background. If the submitted photo is not suitable, you will be notified and asked to resubmit a new photo before your card can be processed.
- Faculty and staff should complete the TigerCard Request Form, indicating that you are requesting a new card.
- Affiliates and guests should have an authorized staff member from your sponsoring department complete the TigerCard Request Form on your behalf.
You will be notified when your card is ready for pick-up.
Spouses, Domestic Partners, Children
The student or employee should submit the TigerCard Request Form on behalf of their spouse, domestic partner or child. You will need a photo of your family member: a passport-style photo with a white background.
Pick Up Your Card
Once you are notfied that your card is ready for pick-up, you may pick up your new card in person at The Service Point, on the A Floor of New South. For security reasons, TigerCards cannot be mailed.
