All faculty, students and staff should connect their devices to eduroam as their primary wireless network. You may also use eduroam when you visit other institutions.
1. From the Windows taskbar select the Network & Internet settings icon (globe) and select eduroam
2. Enter your Princeton netID as netID@princeton.edu and your password.
3. When prompted to continue connecting, select Show certificate details and ensure the certificate matches: cppm-04.princeton.edu. If it does not, please call the OIT Service Desk for support.
4. Select Connect to complete the process.
The certificates used to secure eduroam wireless are valid for only one year. In order to minimize the impact of certificate renewals and to better secure your wireless connection, you should configure your Windows device with the certificate steps in this guide.
Depending on the version and manufacturer of your Android device, the following steps may look different.
If your device doesn't have the option to enter your netID, such as an AppleTV, Roku, Firestick, Playstation, or Xbox, you cannot connect it to eduroam. More information about connecting to servicenet is available in KB0013096.
Faculty and staff who also need to use the 'eduroam' wireless network at other institutions, please contact your SCAD in reference to Eduroam Wireless: Connect to eduroam on Windows Domain computers using User Authentication
Alumni, visitors and guests may connect to wireless via puvisitor. The guest network will not allow printing, display sharing or access to secure University applications and services and should not be used by students, faculty or staff.
If you are a Princeton University community member and require assistance, please contact the OIT Service Desk using any of the options listed under “Information Technology” on the Contact Us page.
