OpenScholar: How can I add a link to my CV on my Bio page?

By default, OpenScholar separates the CV and the Bio, making the CV a subpage of the Bio page. There are two methods to add a link to the CV right on the Bio page. If you know HTML, you can write the link code for the file into your Bio post in the HTML editor mode. If you're not familiar with HTML, you can use the Text Editor's Add Media button to add a link to the file.

To create the link with HTML code to write a link to the file:

  1. Click on the Bio page and click Edit on the Gear icon.

  2. Underneath the textbox, click on Disable rich-text.

  3. Choose where to put the CV in the Bio.

  4. Find the url of the CV file and copy it. Type the following code: <a href="the url of theCV">My CV or any text that is appropriate</a>.

  5. Click on Enable rich-text at the bottom of the textbox to see how it will look.

  6. Click Save

To create the link to the CV without HTML code:

  1. Click on the Bio page and click Edit on the Gear icon.

  2. Click on the Add Media button.

  3. Click on the tab labeled Previously uploaded files.

  4. Click on the CV file.

  5. Click Insert.

  6. Rename the file link.

Alternatively, if the link of the CV can be displayed at the bottom of the text, drag and drop the CV file in the Attach File box to upload the file on the Bio page. This will create a link at the bottom of the page text.
