Zoom is offering a new feature within a user’s profile. This new feature is called Meeting Polls/Quizzes.
This feature provides the user the ability to create Meeting Polls (Basic) or Advanced Polls and Quizzing that can easily be imported into meetings as they are scheduled.
Previously, users were required to create the Polls for each meeting scheduled.
The user will need to enable the Meeting Polls/Quizzes for their Zoom Profile
The user will need to navigate to their profile setting page within the Zoom Web portal.
https://princeton.zoom.us/profile/setting
Under “In Meeting (Basic)”, the user needs to have the Meeting Polls/Quizzes toggled on.
Having this set will allow for the user to create Standard Polls and import into meetings as they are scheduled.
From their Meetings page
https://princeton.zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming
There will now be a new option available.
The user can select the Create Poll option
The user can edit the questions for the Polls, and select single choice or multiple choice.
Once the Poll(s) are created, the user can select to enable them to be used during meetings.
With the Polls (Basic) option, the user can only enable 10 total for their meetings.
The user will need to navigate to their profile setting page within the Zoom Web portal.
https://princeton.zoom.us/profile/setting
Under “In Meeting (Basic)”, the user needs to have the Meeting Polls/Quizzes toggled on.
Once the setting is toggled on, the user will see two checkbox options below
Allow host to create advanced polls and quizzes
Allow alternative host to add or edit polls and quizzes
The first option enables the Advanced Polls/Quizzes for the user and the second is a preference for the user to allow their alternative hosts the same abilities.
The user can choose either Polls or the Advanced Polls and Quizzing.
They may then edit the Polls/Quizzes accordingly.
Note that if a user has created a Poll within the Polls (Basic) configuration, those polls will also be available if they update to the Advanced Polls configuration.
The difference between the Polls (Basic) and the Advanced Polls are the options.
Polls (Basic) -> Single Choice or Multiple Choice
Advanced Polls -> Single Choice, Multiple Choice, Matching, Rank Order, Short Answer or Long Answer
