General policies
The following are Princeton University specific documents describing your responsibilities:

- All Princeton University faculty, students and staff must follow the requirements set forth in Rights, Rules, Responsibilities.
- Princeton's Office of the General Counsel publishes a guide to Copyright Basics.
- Video makers must follow Princeton Emergency Health & Safety policies and procedures as well as show their subjects conforming to these policies and procedures.
Specific Princeton video policies and guidelines
For videos and multimedia to be considered for University websites and broadcast outlets, producers must adhere to the following requirements. These policies cover videos placed on YouTube channels, Facebook pages, Vimeo and other websites, as well.
Policies for outside video crews
Video crews that are not part of the campus community, including news and commercial organizations, must obtain authorization to capture images on campus.
